Bedroom Mood Board

Bedroom Room Board

Buying a home sans the large master suite I had always dreamed of wasn’t ideal, but it was something I was prepared to live with due to our budget.  I’m being completely honest when I say we didn’t buy our “dream home”, but I don’t know many 20-somethings that can afford to do so on their first house. What we did buy, however, was a house that would need some cosmetic work but was one that we absolutely loved and saw ourselves starting our lives together in.  And while the bedrooms aren’t tiny, they required some design planning to configure how we’d layout our bedroom furniture.  Below is a before photo of the bedroom.  The previous owners let their two daughters share the master bedroom since it was the largest room.  Because they had two twin sized beds, they were able to place them opposite of the window wall.  However, now that it is being used as a true master again, we’ll need to actually place our queen bed against the window wall in order to maximize the space of the room.  Again, not ideal but I’m working with what I’ve got!  As discussed in the previous post, you can see we had our work cut out for us with repainting the rooms in this house!  While I love me a little feminine flare – this room was just overkill.  And to your likely dismay the rainbow chandeliers didn’t make the cut for the bedroom remodel. I’ve already purchased some key items for the master bedroom and we got our new flooring installed this past week so I can’t wait to show you all the actual ‘After’ photos once it’s done! See my mood board for the changes I hope to incorporate below!
