Shelfie

There’s a corner of my living room that has been bare since we moved in.  I bought the perfect shelving unit off of Craigslist for it and in typical fashion……let it sit in storage for the last 4 months.  My house is five thousand unfinished projects but last night I decided to less that number by one and put the unit together.

I always love reading the stories people tell about the quirky pieces in their home. Tommy usually thinks I’m crazy when we go shopping and I fill our cart with the oddest knick knacks, but I always tell him every thing I buy has a purpose and place in our home. He seldom sees my visions but most of the time he understands that no one does. Other times he seeks immediate help for me.  Nevertheless, our house is filled with random pieces that manifested from my anomalous creative. Like the ugly vases I thrifted because I loved their shape, but not their color so I spray painted them a matte black to put on display. And these beautiful stone corbels I got from Goodwill that I use as bookends. And the thrifted art I bought because I love ships! Cluttered minds are often just creative ones 🤗 And yes, that’s my dragon tree plant, Dracarys photobombing below.
